Welcome to
to the December 2007 issue of
ZooNews, from professional
Web site design company Zoonini
Web Services.
This month it's an abbreviated edition of ZooNews, since
I know most of you probably have a bit less time than usual
this pre-holiday week!
Our site remake for Weave
Partners has launched. Based in Ontario, Weave
Partners helps highly skilled people with disabilities
find meaningful employment, either on-site or through
work-from-home initiatives. Now graced with fresh new
copy and a cool new tagline ("A Different Way of
Thinking About Work") thanks to Zoonini's
partner A.C. Riley
Communications, the site also features a selection
of lively, diversely peopled stock photos.
It's been a month of multilingual launches for Zoonini clients.
Montreal logo design firm LogoVortex.com has
unveiled its French
side, all the better to serve potential
francophone clients. And Michael Bungay Stanier's Flash movie, The
Eight Irresistible Principles of Fun – already
seen by thousands around the world – has opened itself
up to an even wider international audience, with both French and Spanish editions
rolled out this month.
Last month's piece on the Facebook
fascism phenomenon
garnered some interesting responses, and my readers
have graciously allowed me to share a few of them here:
"Facebook is both the devil and an angel. I've met
up with friends that I hadn't talked with for a bit which
is nice. And then there are the loons that have also come
out of areas that aren't polite to mention! Keep resisting!
I think it's lazy people's way of communicating."
- Nancy
Mezzetta
"Glad to read I'm not the only one who feels that
way about Facebook."
- JP Sclapari
"I have an outstanding Facebook invite from an old
friend I've never followed up on. I feel guilty about it.
It's not that I don't care about him, it's that I don't care
about Facebook."
- Shane Simmons
As 2007 draws to a close, I'd like to
sincerely thank all my readers for the privilege of letting me deliver ZooNews
to you every month. Your ongoing feedback also means a lot
to me, so don't ever hesitate to send along questions, ideas
for new articles, or reactions to anything you read here.
Wishing everyone a relaxing and reinvigorating holiday,
with good health, happiness and success in the New Year.
See you in your inbox in 2008!
À la prochaine,
kp
