Our remake for Box of Crayons brings together nearly a dozen formerly standalone sites under a single easy-to-manage WordPress-driven home base. Box of Crayons helps teams and organizations around the world do more great work through coaching programs, products, books and movies, which are now easy to find under one roof. Featuring custom graphics from our colleague, Poplogik, and optimized copy from A.C. Riley Communications.
The new CINERGY™ Coaching site allows founder Cinnie Noble to independently update her coaching and training services as well as build a community around a conflict management-centered blog. Another WordPress site optimized by A.C. Riley Communications, the site's earthy look-and-feel makes a calming and natural impression on visitors. A sidebar contact form throughout the site encourages potential clients to get in touch.
Our bilingual site for The Witty Office/Le Bureau Futé features the services of Montreal professional organizer Catherine Desjeunes. The site rebrands her office-organizing offerings under a new company name and logo. Catherine's own original illustrations add visual flair and a custom look and feel. This is the first site for which we used one of the fonts from Google's Font Directory, a free resource that helps websites to go beyond the usual Verdana, Arial or Georgia body text.
Our new website for Simmons Mattress Gallery showcases the wares of this mattress specialist with stores in Halifax and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Their site was restructured, redesigned, and rebuilt from the ground up, to make it easier for visitors to use, and for the business owner to maintain. Optimization from A.C. Riley Communications helps potential customers find the site more easily via search engines, while a complementary email newsletter system lets the company send out nicely branded mailings with ease.
For the Coaching For Great Work website, WordPress was once again our content-management system of choice. The "posts" functionality allows the client to easily add new upcoming workshops, while we've configured past events to drop off the list automatically. WordPress categories are used for the event location, so visitors can quickly find workshops by country. Sliding panels on the homepage allow us to present four screens of information on this international coaching-training program in an interesting and easy-to-read fashion.
We crafted the companion site for Newfoundland-based writer Emily White's bestselling book Lonely: Learning to Live with Solitude on a tight deadline, to accommodate the impending publication in Canada and the US. Running on the open-source WordPress platform, we built the site to be easily updateable by the author, who can add news about upcoming readings, book signings, and media appearances, as well as reviews and blog updates on all aspects of loneliness – from animal-assisted therapy, to the stigma of loneliness. Posting frequently and eloquently, Emily has built up a loyal community of blog readers who participate in lively and thoughtful discussions on the site.
Our new site for internationally exhibited Montreal-based visual artist Dorothy Grostern features a clean look to keep the focus on the artwork. The bilingual site features highlights from Dorothy's 25+ year career, as well as a portfolio area showcasing dozens of pieces from her repertoire, including drawings, sculpture, paintings, and prints. We used the ZenPhoto gallery system to allow Dorothy to manage her own online portfolio, via a Web-based administration area.
Zoonini remade the site for J-organize, a professional-organizing firm headed by Jacki Hollywood Brown specializing in residential, small-office, equestrian and virtual organizing. Timed to coincide with the business's move to Trenton, Ontario, from its previous base in Montreal, the site was optimized by A.C. Riley Communications to attract new clients via keyword searches. It runs on WordPress, allowing the client to add tip-filled articles in the blog area, as well as make her own updates to the informational pages. The most recent articles are automatically featured in a homepage sidebar area.
Our new site for Montreal's Take Two Productions provides a convenient online home for the freelance writing and translation services of Wendy Helfenbaum, and the professional sound recording services and audio equipment rentals of her partner Martin Patterson. A striking monocrome landscape photograph taken by Martin helps impart a calm feeling to the site, while optimization by Zoonini partner A.C. Riley Communications lets the company garner new clients via Web searches for the appropriate keyword phrases.
